Bow hunter Casey Sanders was trekking in woodlands of south-west Atlanta when he came across the man standing starkers in a stream.
He had been at the TomorrowWorld electronic festival nearby and claims he was attacked, stripped and dragged in to the woods.
In a YouTube video, the victim is clearly disorientated, saying he had survived by eating rotting crab apples and licking water from leaves before he found the brook.
He can be heard saying: “Three guys, they beat the crap out of me.
“They drug me out to the middle of nowhere.”
The hunter was skeptical at first, but he defended his abrupt manner in the YouTube comments, saying: “Sorry I wasn’t so trusting to a random stranger naked in the creek in the middle of the woods who couldn’t differ a dream from reality.”
He claims that he then helped the man to safety, calling for help and getting him picked up by friends.
A lucky escape for the reveler, who might think twice before partying his socks off again.
