The 54-year-old actor also revealed he is looking forward to adopting George Smiley’s diet again to reprise his role in the sequel to the award-winning film.
“They’re talking of maybe making, I suppose a sequel, but it’s the third book in the trilogy, Smiley’s People, and I’d be happy to come back and do it,” he said.
He added: “I get to just eat what I want and put on another tummy.
“It’s not bad. My wife won’t be happy, but I will.”
