But who are Joanna Gruesome? They’re Cardiff punx doing fuzzy indie pop. Their new LP Weird Sister is out now on Slumberland in the US and Fortuna Pop in the UK, and, like we said, it’s killer.
They’re supposed by Plaids (frantic and melodic hardcore/emo reminiscent of Rites of Spring), Crows an wra (weird spacey screamo that sounds like if The Mars Volta got brutal) and Kin Shot (Brand new band from members of Man Hands, Sky:Lark and Cop (among others). No tracks online yet, which means you’ll have to make sure to get down early to check them out!)
