The US rock band will play shows at Perth Arena (March 9), Allphones Arena in Sydney (12), Hunter Stadium in Newcastle (13), Sidney Myer Music Bowl in Melbourne (17) and Brisbane Entertainment Centre (20).

ZZ Top and local rockers Rose Tattoo will open for Guns N’ Roses.

News of the dates broke in December when promoter Andrew McManus posted art work on his Facebook page before contracts had been signed.

The story that circulated on media sites claimed Aussie rockers The Angels had been booked as a support act, but this was before the news emerged of Doc Neeson’s brain tumour.

With the tour now officially confirmed, McManus said he was looking forward to a treble bill of rock.

“I can’t wait for these shows next March,” he said.

“Axl Rose is a legend and I can’t wait to see Guns N’ Roses play to their legion of Aussie fans again.

“I’m so proud to be bringing them back to Australia and am looking forward to a great tour with fellow rockers ZZ Top and Rose Tattoo.”

Tickets to the Guns `N Roses 2013 tour are on sale from January 27.
