The Rail, Maritime and Transport Union (RMT) has confirmed that the strikes will be going ahead as plans to ‘reorganise the workforce’ could threaten more than 200 jobs.

Bosses at Heathrow Express claim that the restructuring will help to save £6m over the next five years, but the RMT claims the move will mean redundancies for hundreds of people.

Heathrow Express says that it has a ‘robust’ contingency plan in place.
