An iPhone pet application, that was meant to be filming the terrier of Denver resident Claire Blevins, instead caught a burglar in the midst of his deed.
The intrusion took place on December 28, while Blevins was at work.
She used her phone to check up on her dog Callie – but instead she was shocked to see a male thief in her bedroom, going through her things for valuables.

Speaking to Matt Lauer at The Today Show on Monday, Blevins explained: “I was sitting in my cubicle, and I was just looking through to see if my roommate Amanda had borrowed anything that morning, because when she does, she comes in and she waves.”
“My dog was just chilling in my room, [but] I noticed a high photo count, and then I scrolled up to see that guy in my room.
“As soon as I saw his face, I thought, ‘Oh, no, that’s not Amanda,” Blevins continued.
Blevin sent the recordings over to TV channel KUSA, which aired the material later that night, and with a viewer recognizing the burglar, police arrested a 47-year-old man.
Although the experience freaked her out, Blevins is still happy that the deed was recorded.
“I’m really thankful I had that app. It’s good to know what he touched, what he went through and things like that.
But it’s still the creepiest thing that’s probably ever happened to me.”
The suspect, accused of stealing items for a value of about $500, denies the allegations.
