Rumours have been swirling that Ashton Kutcher could be the father of January Jones’ one month old baby.
The fevered speculation began after BlindGossip.com revealed last week that a “married actor had a one-night stand with one of his exes, who is an actress in an acclaimed television show. She wound up pregnant. The actor’s wife found out about the baby, and, to no one’s surprise, went completely ballistic. Both the actor and his wife tried every tactic (money, lawyers, threats to ruin her career) to convince the ex to terminate the pregnancy.”
This lead to gossip blogger Michael K. of DListed.com speculating that “all signs point to January Jones.”
Fox411.com reported that they had contacted Jones’ and Kutcher’s respective publicists earlier this week but got no response.
Jones who plays Betty in cult TV show Mad Men gave birth to son Xander in September but has point blank refused to name his father.
Kutcher, who is now married to Demi Moore, was in a three year relationship with Jones which reportedly ended in 2001. The pair are believed not to have dated since.
Last week Kutcher released a video on chime.in philosophising about truth and the media.
In it he said: “We really have to take it upon ourselves to instill a level of honesty in the works and media that we create and share with people, and be certain that we are doing our own diligence to ensure that what we are saying is for the benefit of the other, utilizing our full capacity to share the truth.”
Many gossip bloggers speculated that he was scotching the recent allegation that he had played away from home with 22 year old Sara Leal.
The scuttlebutt now, however, is that he may have been addressing the JJ rumours.
Who the hell knows? The baby’s cute though.
