Job description:
Backpacker Trade News is Startrack Media’s travel trade website.
You will work remotely and need access to a photo editing programme, such as Adobe Photoshop. CMS experience is a must and Mailchimp experience preferable.
You must source at least two travel trade stories per day, covering Australia and surrounding areas in particular. Write/re-write into BTN style, upload onto CMS, source a suitable and LEGAL image, re-size the image and upload.
Write an SEO-friendly title and description, ticking and adding appropriate tags and meta-data.
Once a week, upload three chosen stories onto the Mailchimp BTN e-newsletter template. Resize images, re-link images and hyperlinks to appropriate URLs, checking they are correct with a test, and write engaging copy inviting readers to ‘Read more…’.
Once a week, write an opinion piece.
Continuous moderation of comments made on the website.
