For the evening, Barrio’s vibrant venue will be transformed into an arena of trombones, a carnival of chords and a downtown dive of dirty drums and rhythms. Guests are encouraged go wild and to dress up in all the feathers and fripperies of the carnival. Live Samba dancing from the talented Taste of Brasil dancers will bring the South American vibe to life in Shoreditch, and DJ sets from the Barrio Allstars will keep friends and fellow foliões dancing to Latin, funk, rock ’n’ soul and throwback classics into the early hours.
The intense flavours of South America will spill over into the menu; guests will be able to enjoy the authentic ingredients of Mexican cooking in Barrios delicious antojitos, tacos and botanas. Partygoers will be transported to the warmth of Brazil through the flavoursome and playful cocktails, including the fun-fuelled Wonky Donkey – a twist on the Moscow Mule – and the festive take on the Pina Colada – the Gingerbread Colada.
