Justin Bieber arrested for drag racing

According to reports, Bieber was in a rented Lamborghini when he was stopped by police early Thursday local time.

Miami Beach Police (@MiamiBeachPD) confirmed the arrest on Twitter.

“#BreakingNews confirming @justinbieber has been arrested for DUI & Drag Racing more info & press release coming,” they tweeted.

The 19-year-old is in police custody and was undergoing tests on his blood alcohol level, celebrity gossip website TMZ said. It cited sources as saying the singer failed a field sobriety test at the scene.

He will stay in custody while his case is booked and processed and his bail is set.

The arrest follows reports that Bieber blew $75,000 in just a few hours in a strip club.
