Sponsors of the prize Foxy Bingo described Katie – also known as Jordan – as being a “wonderful role model for mothers faced with the difficulties of juggling work and motherhood, especially with the challenges she has faced with Harvey”.

Katie has usurped 2011’s Mum of the Year Stacey Solomon, who was swiftly stripped of her title after being photographed smoking while six months pregnant.

Clearly, this is an award that is taken very seriously.

Katie/ Jordan, 33, was first named Mum of the Year five years ago.

She said of regaining the title: “Being a mum is one of the most rewarding jobs in the world but it can also be very hard work – especially juggling a busy career with three kids.

“Even when you have friends and family to support you, it makes a huge difference to hear someone say you’re doing a good job and winning Celebrity Mum of the Year for the second time feels like a huge triumph, especially because it’s chosen by the public.”

The glamour girl/ reality TV star later told MSN Celebrity: “I don’t need a medal to know I’m a good mum – I know I’m a good mum. But to have the public vote, it’s brilliant. It just goes to show you can’t fool the public by some people trying to tarnish me as a bad mum over the last few years.”

Other shortlisted candidates for the coveted title included Amanda Holden, Danielle Lloyd and Victoria Beckham.
