On a positive note more than half the 1,500 Londoners surveyed said the Underground makes their lives better.
The DLR, Jubilee, Victoria and the Overground lines came out on top and Londoners favourite stations are North Ealing, Kenton, Anerley, Rotherhithe and Canonbury.
The Central line came out as the most disliked line followed by the Northern and District lines.
Kensal Rise, Queensbury, Dalston Junction, Elm Park and Sloane Square were voted the worst five stations.
The survey carried out by EasyRoommate revealed that overcrowding, high fares, and unbearable heat in the summer, delays, engineering works and the tunnels of interchanges between different lines and stations came out on top of annoyances.
Being drunk and loud, not taking off large backpacks on busy trains and passengers only looking for their Oyster card when they get to the barrier also came out as dislikes to other passengers.
The research suggested that 90 per cent of Londoners felt that a local tube station was an important factor in deciding where to live.
