More snow and icy temperatures are expected in the UK this week, forecasters have predicted.
Another arctic blast is set to bring another band of snow to the UK on Thursday, with temperatures expected to fall to as low as minus 10C.
North-east Scotland and eastern England are expected to suffer the worst of the chilly weather conditions.
The south west looks set to escape the cold spell.
Andy Ratcliffe, a forecaster at MeteoGroup, the weather division of the Press Association, said: “On Thursday a cold front will move south across the UK.
“This will give rain initially, but it will turn to snow on its back edge.”
Earlier this month, airports, trains and roads were severely disrupted by the snow.
