Wahloo the wallaby had the condition since birth and had surgery in December to relieve the build up of fluid behind his eyes.
“They’re given this little guy a whole new lease of life, and quadrupled his quality of life,” owner Caroline Girdlestone said of the operation which was carried out last year in Palmerston North.
“He has his independence, his self-respect, he is brave and happy.
