The sixth actor to play the role of 007 is shown lurking in the shadows in a scene set in Shanghai, with a Walter PPK in hand. Most strikingly though, the normally suave and sophisticated secret service agent is shown to be a little unshaven, his face showing what is at least a few days grace. Did Bond have one too many martinis – shaken not stirred?
Skyfall is directed by Sam Mendes (American Beauty) and co-stars Javier Bardem as the latest Bond nemesis, Naomie Harris as a field agent, and Ben Wishaw as Q.
The plot synopsis reveals that “Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.”
The film is being shot in Scotland, London, Turkey and Shanghai and is due for release this November.
