Paramedics were on Thursday morning trying to rescue a man trapped
in the wreckage of a train following an accident in Mpumalanga that
killed one woman near Ermelo, police said.
A train smashed into a coach at about 05.30, causing the death of the
woman and leaving a locomotive assistant trapped,” police spokesperson
Superintendent Abie Khoabane said.
“We are still investigating but these two people are the only ones we know of at the moment,” he said.
