The Paralympic and Olympic athlete was granted bail last week and awaits trial for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.
Lunice Johnston of the double amputee’s media representatives, Vuma Reputation Management, confirmed he had officers but didn’t say where.
It wasn’t at the Brooklyn police station, where a large media contingent awaited his appearance.
Johnson said once bail was posted Pistorius was under the auspices correctional services, not the police.
“The uncle, Arnold Pistorius, confirmed it is now a matter for correctional services, so Oscar has to report to correctional services authorities,” she said. “I don’t know where.”
Pistorius is staying with his uncle in Waterkloof, an affluent suburb in Pretoria.
Media reports have claimed Pistorius’s legal team is “considering” an application to lessen the strict nature of his bail conditions, which include him not being allowed to return home – where he is accused of shooting Steenkamp dead through a toilet door.
Chief magistrate Desmond Nair also ordered that he couldn’t contact witnesses or drink alcohol and that he had to surrender all of his guns and passports.
He is required to report to authorities twice a week.
In the South Africa Times, Pistorius’s lawyer Kenny Oldwadge said: “We are still considering our position.”
