A photo of the tidy up operation was posted to the Facebook Group NT Performance Cars, Parts and Services with the caption, “If u fancy watching a chick pluck pubes in public head on down to the waterfront. She’s been here for 20 mins and by the looks of it she has a few more hours of grooming left boys.”
Backpackers and locals have had a few run ins in the past – famously in 2009. Watergape as it became known saw a huge backlash against backpackers sunbathing topless because it slowed building progress on the Waterfront project.
Its swimming beach, lagoon, and surrounding grassed area are a popular attraction.
