To listen to the Howling Bells’ second album you’d never know that the concept of ‘the sophomore slump’ existed.
The ethereal, noirish beauty of their first, self-titled album has been traded for hookier melodies, on such songs as Into The Chaos and Cities Burning Down, but this underlines the band’s growing confidence in delivering catchy pop tunes.
