When it first opened in 1846 the Roundhouse was a repair shed for steam locomotives, but it’s now one of London’s leading music and art venues.

The Roundhouse has become known for showcasing an eclectic and innovative line-up of events since it became a venue in 1964, and plays host to top-notch bands and musos.

A venue is no guarantee that what you’ll hear or see will be quality, but this is one place where it comes pretty close.

However, it’s the building itself that helps to make gigs in particular, a special experience. The interior is magnificent, the high circular roof provides a unique backdrop, while the balcony areas offer a great vantage point of the action.

There’s also a café and funky bar at the venue.
