If they win the contest they’ll be putting the money towards building church in their village.
Despite the bid for tran-european fame at the annual Eurovision Song Contest, one member told Vesti news “Grandmothers do not need glory and wealth.”
The song Party For Everyone – a mix of folk and modern dance music – won a national Russian TV competition voted for by the public, where it beat 24 other acts. Whether this was under the same inventive form of democracy recently used to re-elect Vladimir Putin remains to be seen.
