The South African netball team kicks off their Caribbean tour against hosts Jamaica in their first match of a tri-nations tournament on Tuesday.
The Jamaicans, ranked fifth in the world, go into the match brimming with confidence following a 59-30 defeat of eighth placed fellow islanders Trinidad and Tobago in Monday night’s opening clash.
The Proteas’ moral is at an all time high after the recent three-nil clean sweep over Barbados in Cape Town last month. However, the South African’s are well aware of the tougher challenge posed by the two nations who are ranked significantly higher than the Bajans and have a much physical approach to the game.
They will play their second match of the tournament against Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday with the finals between the two top teams scheduled for Thursday.
