Sarah Palin has angered hunters with her amateurish rifle skills in the latest episode of her TV Series ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska’.
Mrs Palin aka Mama grizzly is no stranger to controversy, and the rightwing politician is once again in the hot seat after she shot a caribou for her reality show, which aired on Sunday.
The video shows Palin missing the animal four times before her father Charles R. “Chuck” Heath, decides to give her another rifle.
Palin’s rifle manners are described by hunters as ‘clumsy’ and ‘dangerous’.
When her father hands her the second weapon that she finally lands the caribou with, she puts her finger on the trigger immediately, instead of waiting until she’s fully prepared to shoot.
The hunters also point out that Palin does not ‘sight-in’ her rifle before her hunt, describing it as a basic error.
But it’s not only hunters that have reacted to Sarah Palin’s caribou episode.
In a statement to entertainment website Fancast, PETA president Dan Mathews said:
“Sarah seems to think that resorting to violence and blood and guts may lure people into watching her boring show. But the ratings remain as dead as the poor animals she shoots.”
Sarah Palin’s Alaska has been loosing viewers over the last weeks, starting off with 4.96 million viewers for the first episode on November 14 till 3 million the following week.
The caribou show, which aired on American network TLC on Sunday, attracted 2.8 million viewers, according to Nielsen data.
