Sarah Palin has told her fellow Americans to stand beside the country’s allies, North Korea, informing a radio station: “But obviously we’ve gotta stand with our North Korean allies.”
Palin’s latest gaffe came on Glenn Beck’s US radio show when she was asked how she’d handle the recent crisis between the South and North Korea, New York Daily News reported Thursday.
“This speaks to a bigger picture here that certainly scares me in terms of our national security policy,” said Palin.
“But obviously we’ve gotta stand with our North Korean allies.”
Beck, the host, quickly corrects her, saying: “South Korea.”
To which Palin responded: “Eh, yeah. And we’re also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.”
Sarah Palin is no stranger to gaffes and hideous displays of ignorance. The former Alaska governor had to have World War I, World War II and the Cold War explained to her.
Palin continued to insist that Iraq was behind 9/11 and, when her son was being sent off to Iraq, she didn’t know who the US were fighting.
Two years ago, Palin stated that Alaska is “right over the border” from Russia while and claimed that her home state’s proximity to that country gives her foreign policy experience.
Scary stuff.
