Calm down for just a second, I know what you’re thinking. No, it’s not actually in space. Space Hotel is an affordable and contemporary hotel aimed at young travellers like yourselves. In this one, you’ll be able to bunk down 700m from St Kilda beach and a stone’s throw from Acland Street’s bohemian quarter – it’s gonna be pretty popular.
If you’re not sure that they’re backpacking material, then consider that the first Space Hotel won the 2014 Victorian Tourism Award for Best Backpacker Accommodation in the state. They also scored 3rd place at the Golden Backpack Awards this year.
Not sold? They’re planning an in-house cinema, café/bar, gym, internet café and a fully equipped kitchen. There’s room for 264 guests over the nine levels too.
