Stella English won The Apprentice last night, scoring a £100,000-a-year job working under millionaire Lord Sugar.

The entrepreneur also promised runner-up Chris Black a job too, if he wants it.

He said: “”There has to be one winner. The rules are that I give someone a job and Stella got the job.

“But my doors are always open for Chris to come knocking if he wants to.”

Both Stella and Chris have been working for Lord Sugar since the end of the filming of the show.

Jubilant mother-of-two Stella said: “To think that little Stella from Thamesmead is the winner of The Apprentice is unbelievable but I always believed it in my heart.”

Praising Stella, Lord Sugar added: “I’m very happy. What you saw is someone who is very meticulous and articulate and that’s what’s needed in a very competitive market.”

In last night’s show, Stella and Chris had to manage teams of previously fired contestants to design a new alcohol brand before presenting to a team of experts.

Stella and her team stormed to victory with their spicy bourbon drink Urbon.

Stella will take up her new job as product manager for Sugar’s Viglen Group, implementing projects for hospitals and schools.

Chris is still deciding on whether to take up a new role with Lord Sugar.
