Kayla Ashlyn Bonkowski, a student at Central Michigan University, has been accused of poisoning her roommate’s iced tea last month, after a row.
Emily Joseph filed a complaint against Bonkowski after seeking medical treatment.
Bonkowski was arrested over the allegation, but has since been released.
The charge against her carries a maximum of 15 years in prison.
According to the statement, Bonkowski said to Michigan State Trooper Douglas Hunt that “she put bleach in the drink” as “Joseph is mean.”
