1: Newtown

Newtown is a quirky suburb in the inner west of Sydney where pink hair, tattoos and wearing your grandad’s clothes are all commonplace.

2. Bondi

Bondi is perhaps the most famous suburb in Sydney, and for good reason. It has one of the best beaches in Australia and an unrivalled “holiday” vibe.

Bondi is a beautiful place to discover, make sure you wander off the beaten track as the back streets house some of the best boutique stores in Sydney.

 

3.Glebe

Saturday’s in Glebe are a bargain hunter’s paradise with Glebe Markets running every weekend from 10-4.

You will find everything from clothes to artwork, household accessories to home made fudge and an abundance of food stalls to whet your appetite.

Breakfast in Glebe will leave you spoilt for choice with a range of bustling cafes housing an eclectic mix of people; Glebe really is a hidden gem that’s not to be missed.

 

4. Paddington

If art is your forte then Paddington is your suburb. A wonderful mix of contemporary and traditional galleries can be found dotted around this suburb.

Saturday afternoons in Paddington can be spent in the markets either admiring local artists or treating yourself to some hand made jewellery.

Round the day off with a coffee from “Bootsdarling” and take a walk around Centennial Park. The park provides the perfect retreat from the bustling city and is just a short stroll from Paddington high street.

 

5. Surry hills

A mix of young couples and professionals give this suburb a level of sophistication without being flashy.  

When the lights go out Surry hills comes alive.

Hidden wine bars and fairy lit courtyards line the streets making Surry hills the perfect date night destination.
