“It is a great move for me,” Cole said. “I’ve always loved West Ham and I hope I can give the club a few memorable seasons.”
Cole moved to Chelsea from the Hammers after the east London side were relegated from the Premier League in 2003 and won three Premier League titles and two FA Cups with the Blues.
He struggled to make his mark though when he moved to Anfield in 2010 and was loaned out by Liverpool last season to French side Lille.
