The Prince Of Teck

161 Earl’s Court Road, SW5 9RQ; 020 7373 4291
Tube: Earl’s Court

The scene: The POT’s recent refurbishment (polished wooden floors, mood lighting, new furniture) has created a warm, inviting place to satiate your thirst. Professional, friendly bar staff are always on hand to pour. A range of good tunes adds to the comfort factor and huge windows mean plenty of natural light.

The Grub: If you could eat the braised Suffolk lamb shank (£10.50), served with mashed potato and rosemary jus, everyday you would. Vegetarians are catered for and bruch is served daily until three.

Only peckish? Down a plate of nachos with your beers.

Behind the bar: Good selection of lagers, bitters and ales on tap from £3.60. Bottles are £3.60. Four shooters for £10. House wines from £3.90. Cocktails are £6.50

Verdict: A classy bar. If you’re in the area, drop in.
