“The girls” – my eight closest friends in the world. There always seemed to be at least one person missing from our New Year’s Eve celebrations, usually travelling in some remote corner of the world while the rest of us rang in the new year, Brisvegas-style! But New Year’s Eve 2008 was the year we finally got it together, and got ourselves together at last! Everytime I feel homesick I just look at this photo and remind myself we’ll all be together again one day.
