Three men were stabbed in Trafalgar Square last night as a mass brawl broke out. 19 people have been arrested in connection with the fight.

The mass fight erupted at about 1600 GMT on Thursday and was thought to be between rival gangs of Kosovans, possibly related to the fact that yesterday was the third anniversary of Kosovan independence.

Tourists and commuters looked on in horror as the huge brawl broke out around Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square. The fighting lasted for around 90 minutes.

Three men were stabbed during the fight in Trafalgar Square. Two victims aged 18 and 19 were found by emergency services suffering from multiple stab wounds and are being treated in hospital.

A man, 19, admitted himself to hospital with stab wounds.

The victims are said to be in a serious but stable condition.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: ” Police are appealing for information over three stabbings following a number of fights in the Trafalgar Square area between 4pm and 5.30pm.

“Officers were called to the scene to reports of a large fight and a man being stabbed.

“Police have arrested 19 males in connection with the incidents and they are being held at various central London police stations.”
