Tunisia has begun three days of mourning for the people who were killed during protests that resulted in the ousting of former president Zine El Abidene Ben Ali.
More than 78 people are believed to have been killed in the uprising.
Schools and universities are expected to reopen again next week.
The new government has offered amnesty to political prisoners and granted recognition to previously banned political parties.
Campaigners are calling for ministers associated with Mr Ben Ali’s RCD party to leave government.
State TV reports in Tunisia have revealed that the RCD party will continue to operate in spite of the fact it has dissolved its leadership committee after many leadership members quit.
