Owner Ann Munday, from Wentworth Drive, got Wadsworth from a vet – who still treat the cat and verified his age – and nursed the black and white fella to health.
Former pub landlady Munday told the BBC “Waddy”, as she called him, “is not as active as he was”.
The cat, named after the beer, has spent most his life as a pub cat hanging out at the Horse and Jockey and then the The Blacksmith’s Arms in Ravensden.
They now live in a house.
Munday said: “He’s like a little old man really, he gets up, goes out, comes in, has his food and then goes back to sleep.”
