The ONE2 festival will be the first event in Hackney that brings together so many different disciplines. Cabaret, poetry, sculpture, painting, comedy, dance, theatre, performance art, film, classical music, jazz, rock’n’roll, metal music and hip-hop are all under one umbrella.
This is an ambitious and exciting new project. To support the arts and promote community engagement, there are free daytime talks and workshops where local people, schools and art centers are invited to participate. Most of the schedule will consist of ticketed evening events. Prices vary by event but an All-Access Pass is available. Many of the artists have been generous enough to donate prizes such as paintings and gifts to a raffle with all proceeds going to refugee relief charities.
