The roo gave itself a tour of the car park today before it was caught by an army of rescuers.

It may have stopped earlier, but couldn’t find a space. It’s also likely the three-year-old’s pouch wasn’t big enough to hold the masses of change needed to pay the exorbitant rates.

Police, Tullamarine staff and wildlife experts were kept on the hop before they were able to subdue and sedate the weary and wayward mammal.

It’s the second time in two months that a roo has been captured in the car park.

The animal is estimated to be three-years-old.

Wildlife welfare officers will monitor the roos sore-looking paws until it’s fit enough to go back into the wild.
