Vincere – TNT Cinema review

The passionate love affair between dictator Benito Mussolini (Filippo Timi) and idealistic Ida Dalser (Giovanna Mezzogiorno) makes for  a captivating biopic thanks  to director Marco Bellocchio.

The filmmaker draws great performances out of the lead actors and cleverly interweaves old reels in what is a memorable portrait of obsession.

GOOD FOR: Historians.
