Moby (Little Idiot)

Moby’s one of that small, frustrating band of musicians who are usually more interesting in interviews than on record (see also Rufus Wainwright, Noel Gallagher and  Beth Ditto).

His ninth album doesn’t turn that notion on its head: there are too many forgettable moments among its 18 tracks, and he’s still better at writing blog posts than lyrics. Still, the low-key, melancholy flavour helps make it his most involving listen in a while.
