The man, who hasn’t been named, thought he was giving the woman a loan in exchange for a bit of loving.
She bought luxury cars and an apartment with the money, the Sports Nippon newspaper said.
“She had no ability nor any intention to repay the debts,” the court in Shizuoka, central Japan, said.
The woman apparently called the deal an “amorous net”.
While they were dating, from June 2000, she would regularly ask him for money while stripping in hotel rooms and having him bathe her.
To keep his lady friend in the lifestyle and handouts to which she’d become accustomed, the man sold property and took out loans.
