This is your chance…
In a world first, the Academy Award-winning filmmaker will not only judge SHUFFLE’S new short film competition, but will also give the winner a unique, exclusive insight into how he works. There are three categories to SHUFFLE’s inaugural short film competition:
1. Science and Imagination
2. The City
3. Young People (under 25 years of age)
Other prizes include a ‘top secret’ trip to California to be part of the most cutting-edge filmmaking technology, a trip to New York for a once-in-a-lifetime filmmaking opportunity, extensive Panalux equipment hire and more, still to be announced.
SHUFFLE – a film, arts and music festival experience – takes place over five days, from July 31 to August 4, in London’s most urban woodland (Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park). It includes an innovative programme of events centred around Nature, Death and Survival. Together with films and live music, the event hosts a pop-up restaurant, a Banker’s Feast for over 500 guests (who are not actually bankers, but local artists), plus art installations, two outdoor cinemas, guided tours and much, much more.
The festival kicks off Wednesday and there’s a number of free events – a gig from The Webb Sisters, theatre from Still Ill, an Alternative Village Fete, Day of the Dead science fete (co-presented by The Wellcome Trust) and much more.
The deadline for entries is July 11 – find out more and submit your film here.
