What’s the show this week about?

I’m gearing up for this year’s Edinburgh Fringe. The show’s called Tom Webb’s Wedding, so everything in my life, including this week’s show, is matrimonial. Except for my singleton status.

Who inspired you to pick up a mic?

If you’ve seen the film Sister Act: imagine me as Whoopi Goldberg and the church as comedy, and you’re there.

What was the strangest gig you have ever done?

I once went to a comedy club in a seedy San Francisco neighbourhood where I disguised myself as a comedian.

I befriended several other comedians, including the forever jolly Sister Mary Patrick, quiet and meek Sister Mary Robert, and the elderly deadpan Sister Mary Lazarus.

My jokes cleaned up the neighbourhood and it ended up with me before the pope, earning a round of applause led by His Holiness and the Reverend Mother.

What’s your favourite joke?

I call Katie Price the Death Star ... because divorce is strong with this one.
