Former Smiths members Johnny Marr and Mike Joyce deny reunion rumours

Everyone else is doing it so why don’t you? Despite rumours abounding that The Smiths are going to reform, Johnny Marr and drummer Mike Joyce have furiously denied any Morrissey get together.
In response to the clamour on his Facebook page, Johnny Marr has posted, simply, “The rumour of The Smiths reunion is untrue. It’s not happening.”
Joyce, who is now a Manchester-based radio presenter, has said: ““When I first heard about it I was… to say surprised and rather shocked was a bit of an understatement.
“It’s not happening folks, as far as I know – which could be a god thing.”
Despite their denial, with the Stone Roses, the Mondays and countless others reforming it can only be a matter of time.
