Alt film club Grimehouse is set to unleash this undead spectacle – it’s just like your regular English summer fair, only it replaces the goldfish in plastic bags and Morris dancing with a zombie tombola and beauty pageant.
Amid the flesh-munching and blood-letting, there’ll also be a 12-hour zombie movie marathon (think Romero, Shaun of the Dead, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and the ace Zombieland), and a ‘Back From The Dead’ disco. Zombie royalty will be on hand to open the fete, too.
The living need not attend, though.

This show considers the isolationism and obsessive-compulsive aspects of sport, and takes the inner mind of an athlete as its launch pad. The twist: Melanie Jones’s show is an immersive dance theatre performance in Holyrood Park with the audience participating through
loaned MP3 players.

Cuisines from around the world jostle for position at this Olympic-themed food fest, in which chefs attempt to dazzle with their culinary skills. All the grub’s served up at a 15m x 6m map-of-the-world table, so you can swig champers while enjoying curry off the Thai coast, or down some ales while sitting on the US eastern seaboard. The world’s your oyster!

Graffiti, tequila and table football combine, at a cost of nada, across east London. Copa Futbolito, in conjunction with el Jimador tequila, provides six specially designed Mexican tables.
It all kicks off with a ‘Footbolita’ fest at Vibe Bar in Brick Lane on the opening weekend. It’s like snooker: you always play better after a few drinks.
