The Chelsea Flower show has dished out gold medal award to a stunning piece of work – a hedge shaped to look like a formula one race car in the pits.
The topiary from Essex won a gold medal at this year’s show. The hedge features the shape of a racecar being tended to by a number of pit lane staff, and even features Williams’ driver Bruno Senna’s helmet in the cockpit.
‘The Williams F1 Story” by King and Co won in the Great Pavillion Awards, and collaborated with the Formula 1 team.
The exhibit took three years to cultivate.
