Eighteen-year-old Opemipo Jaji has appeared in court charged with the rape of a girl in Enfield, London.
According to police after exiting her school bus on Enfield's Bury Street last Friday afternoon, the girl was dragged into Jubilee Park where the horrific assault took place over a period of two to three hours.
Detective Inspector Simon Ellershaw described the attack as "a horrific and unusual attack of a defenceless schoolgirl".
She was taken to hospital for emergency surgery after returning home from the park.
Opemipo Jaji was arrested on Monday and detectives were granted extra time for questioning on Wednesday.
He will next appear at Wood Green Crown Court on the 6th of December.
