Aussie legend Mark Little to open this year's TNT Travel Show Stand-up comedian and actor Mark Little, best known for his role as Joe Mangel in TV soap Neighbours, will be officially opening the TNT Travel Show.
Little will be cutting the ribbon at the Islington Business Design Centre in London at 10am on March 9 – the first day of the two-day extravaganza.
The comedian, who's been in the UK since 1992, has appeared in numerous British TV shows, including being a regular on Channel 5's The Wright Stuff.
"I'm chuffed TNT asked me to open its TNT Travel Show this year," Little said.
"It's a top destination for anyone thinking of travelling in the next year, with bonza deals on offer over the two days."
“I have always been an Aussie-Euro-Brit. Australia is where I come from, but I have a good sense of humour – you have to be able to have the piss taken out of you here."
As well as opening the show, I'm planning a little bespoke, five-minute routine, shedding some light on what it's like to be an Aussie living in London.
"Then I might stick around, have a few beers and eat an Aussie pie - it'll be like a home from home."
The TNT Travel Show, London's biggest free travel show, is held on March 9-10, 2013, at the Islington Business Design Centre, N1 0QH. There are 3500 free tickets available each day when visitors pre-register at tnttravelshow.com and tickets cost just £2 after that.
The two-day extravaganza is dedicated to finding visitors their ultimate holiday, with exclusive show deals, expert seminars and inspirational advice.
As well as discounts of up to 50 per cent on trips and holidays in the UK, Europe and worldwide, visitors can also book group trips, overland routes and off-the-beaten track destinations in Eastern Europe, Africa, America, South America, Asia and Australasia.
Boasting even more exhibitors than last March's TNT Travel Show, the event will showcase everyone from tour operators to hostel and campervan companies - everything visitors need for a full travel itinerary, tailored to every budget.
Exhibitors include Topdeck, Travel Talk, Contiki, Busabout, On The Go and Sail Croatia.
As well as top deals at the TNT Travel Show, visitors can listen to exclusive advice and get destination inspiration at our free-to-attend seminars.
Learning how to survive in the wild with Bear Grylls’s best mate; the essential guide to the Everest Base Camp; sex and solo travel; and the lowdown on the 2013 festival scene are just some of the 20 free seminars on offer (for a full list see tnttravelshow.com).
The show opening times are Saturday, March 9, 10am-6pm, and Sunday, March 10, 10am-3.30pm, at the Business Design Centre, 52 Upper Street, Islington, London, N1 0QH.
