The Sydney-born actor shot to fame with his portrayal of the sideburned mutant Wolverine in Bryan Singer’s 200x movie X-Men, and has played the role in two sequels and spin off movie, X-Men Origins: Wolverine on his way to becoming one of the biggest names in Hollywood.
“Fans from around the world have been consistently asking when this star will be dedicated,” Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said.
“ We are happy to say that now is the time. Hugh is one of the world’s most popular actors an we are excited that he is joining our Walk of Fame family.”
Since his breakout role in X-Men, Jackman has starred in blockbusters such as Swordfish, Van Helsing and Baz Luhrman’s Australia and will appear in next year’s big screen adaptation of Les Miserables.
