Robert Pattinson is laying low at Reese Witherspoon's ranch after his humiliating split from Kristen Stewart, according to reports.
The rumour mill reckons cuckolded Pattinson - who hasn't been seen in public since news of his girlfriend's fling with married director Rupert Sanders broke - is hiding out at his Water For Elephants co-star Reese Witherspoon's ranch in Ojai, California.
US Weekly - which broke the affair story when it published photos that appeared to catch Stewart and Sanders red-handed in a clinch - claimed to have tracked down the reportedly "heartbroken" Twilight heartthrob at the ranch.
But Pattinson is yet to be spotted in public following the publication of the photos and the grovelling apologies issued to the press by both Stewart and Sanders in the wake of the scandal.
Sanders, 41, a married father of two, appeared in public for the first time this week, and was notably still wearing his wedding ring.
Stewart has also been spotted out and about, looking miserable - although that's not much of a change from life pre-fling.
A series of reports claimed a U-Haul truck had been seen outside R-Patz and K-Stew's LA home soon after the public apologies were made, fuelling speculation that Pattinson was moving out and had called time on the relationship.
However, Stewart is said to be determined to win back her man. An insider said: "She's dying to save the relationship. It's the only thing she cares about."
Neither Pattinson nor Witherspoon's representatives have commented on the story.
