Australians are budget-conscious travellers who worry whether they are getting the best deal, according to a travel survey.
The survey of 1800 people by Hotwire.com found 46 per cent of travellers worry they won't have enough spending money while on holiday.
Forty-three per cent of respondents are concerned they are not getting what was paid for, while one in four worry they have not found the best deal.
Men are also more worried than women about missing out on the best deals by booking late.
In another survey by travel website Skyscanner, one in five international travellers miss their flight, and traffic jams are the most likely excuse.
