Hong Kong billionaire offers £40m bounty to man able to seduce lesbian daughter

Millionaire Cecil Chao Sze-tsung, and head honcho of property firm Cheuk Nang, has a 33-year-old daughter. Gigi Chao, apparently married her long-term female partner in France and her father wasn’t best pleased.

Her father Cecil told the South China Morning Post, that her gay marriage was “false,” he also said:

"I don't mind whether he is rich or poor. The important thing is that he is generous and kind-hearted.”

He said he the prize money would help the suitor start a business.

"Gigi is a very good woman with both talents and looks. She is devoted to her parents, is generous and does volunteer work," continued Cecil.

Gigi, however, has other ideas. She has been in a same sex relationship for seven years and married her partner Sean Eav in April this year.

The Telegraph reported that in 2007, Gigi was quoted in interview saying: "My father took a hands-off approach in parenting. I see him as a friend more than a father," she told HK Magazine. "My parents never pressure me with high expectations."

Though Cecil claimed he would never force his daughter to marry a man against her will, netizens are outraged by his offer.

"Cecil, you sound like you're selling your daughter," says one online comment.

 Another post says: "Get with the times."
